Roland Foods

THE CHALLENGE
Custom Publication

THE OVERVIEW
Roland Foods was in the midst of a brand and packaging redesign when they approached us about creating a custom publication. Working with their CEO and marketing director, we established the goals for the magazine—to showcase the brand’s vast network of purveyors, raise awareness and interest among chefs and tastemakers, and maximize the value of the content by incorporating it into existing digital marketing channels. Then, we set to work, building an editorial and creative team, commissioning original art, design, and photography, assigning and editing stories, establishing relationships with printers and distributors, and overseeing all aspects of production.

THE DELIVERABLES
• 100-plus page editorial publication
• 75 new and original creative assets for use on existing marketing channels
• Updated distribution and influencer network

THE RESULTS
Larder was recently submitted for consideration in the 2019 James Beard Journalism Awards.

The Urban Electric Co.

THE CHALLENGE
Marketing Campaign Development

THE OVERVIEW
When The Urban Electric Company retained us in 2017, the brand had reached a plateau of peak awareness by relying on traditional marketing, messaging, and advertising channels. Sales were consistent and retention was high among existing clients, but their rich brand story was often overlooked. They also needed fresh ways to position new product, as they were on the cusp of a website redesign and an e-commerce launch. Not only did we develop a cohesive content strategy at the outset, but we also created a marketing campaign infrastructure in which authentic storytelling and messaging metrics enabled us to track performance and elevate the brand in a measurable way within the first three months. Since then, our role has expanded exponentially.

THE DELIVERABLES
• Comprehensive annual marketing calendar
• 10 cross-platform campaigns (and counting)
• Branded collateral including annual
• Annual Editorial Magazine
• Supporting digital, social, email, video, photo, and print content

THE RESULTS
Sales and demand outpaced supply 3 months after initial launch
